Update 6/14/11--TriablePages Features

Photo Tree
To add photos to TribalPages, go to menu bar, click on "Tree", search for your name, click on "Add Photos", then choose either "Upload Photos" or "Select from Album" and upload/select your photo. Your photo should be added to the site with the name you selected.

If your photo is already "attached" and showing a name with it, then you don't have to add a caption, year, or description unless you want to.

If you uploaded and didn't "attach" the correct name to the photo, then find your photo and click on "edit."  If the name is wrong, click on "Detach" then "Attach" the correct name from the database to the photo and click "Done."

Please note: Photo-Tree is a feature for us to connect family names with family pictures. When we connect name and face, then genealogy, reunions and correspondence are so much better.

We have a 5,000 picture limit at TribalPages, and 4400+ names already in the database--we are looking at a one picture per name limit. Let's use this feature wisely and post our "other" albums on FB.

Relationships
This neat feature let's you know how to address other family members beyond your immediate lines. From the menu under "People" select "Relationships" then input your name and the name of that relative in question.  The resulting flowchart will line up the generations visually, so you'll know whether to address "cuzin" or "uncle/aunty".

The Alvarado-Adolpho 'Ohana webpage is up and running at:

Mahalo to uncle Kula Schumacher for the base file containing over four-thousand names in the family tree.

Rather than downloading, filling out, and sending in Family Group sheets and Pedigree Charts, everyone can now go directly to the site and edit, correct, and/or update your family information. You will only be able to update your line (yourself, parents, children, etc.), a standard feature at the site. If you need to make other changes, let me know.
